About

Ahmad Anvari has led various product management and engineering roles over the past 20 years. Most recently, he has led advertising technology and optimization product management teams at Uber. Priot to that, Ahmad led part of the team that launched advertising on Instagram, as well as other ads products on Facebook such as video ads and lead ads. He also managed analytics and data science teams responsible for launching advertising on Facebook Messenger, as well as chat bots, M and games.

Before Facebook, Ahmad managed contextual advertising and keyword targeting products for Google. Prior to that, he led the experimentation and analytics at Yahoo Search, Mail, and Messenger - as well as experimentation partnership with Microsoft. Before Yahoo, he managed insights and analytics at Advertising.com (acquired by AOL). Prior to that, he has held various engineering and leadership roles at silicon valley-based companies such as Oki and Otelnet. He has also worked on the software requirements management system for the mars rover at NASA Ames Research center.

During his career, he has been responsible for the development of online solution and web-based products for large-scale advertising platforms, as well as account management systems for Internet Service Providers.

He has co-founded a number of start ups including Adoptic, IranSource.com and Pendar network where has been responsible for their technology and architecture.

Ahmad serves as the Chairman of the Board at Festive Art, Inc., an online resource for promoting the Persian art that generates international exposure and revenue for the Iranian artists. He has also co-founded 7rooz.com, an online events calendar targeting the Persian community. He often talks about technology at Haftegi Radio, which he co-founded in 2005.

Ahmad has held advisory roles at multiple technology companies in the silicon valley, primary focused on advertising and AI, including Adoptic, BaseHealth, and Taygo.

Ahmad holds a Master's degree in Software Engineering Management from Carnegie Mellon University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology where his main research focus was Information and Internet Technology.
